久保田 香 / Ko Kubota
福岡県久留米市に生まれた私は、10代半ばから久留米市郊外の自宅で油絵を学び始めました。多摩美大油絵科への進学を機に東京で過ごした20代は、当時の現代美術の世界に触発され、立体作品を制作していました。その後留学をきっかけに、30代と40代はドイツで生活し写真やサウンドインスタレーション、ビデオなどを制作していました。２００３年頃からドローイングを再開し、大きな紙に墨やアクリルで描く仕事を経た後、キャンバスにアクリルで描き始めます。2012年に20数年ぶりに油絵具を使い始めて以来、絵具の美しさを再発見しています。2016年に帰久してからは、Gallery20202(東京、2017)、Gallery SIACCA（東京、2017、18、19）、矢野家蔵ギャラリー（福岡県うきは市、2018）などで個展をしています。
Born in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture. He started learning oil painting at my home in the suburbs of Kurume City from the middle of my teens.
After studying at Tamami University Oil Painting Department, he spent time in Tokyo and was inspired by the world of contemporary art at that time, creating three-dimensional works. After studying abroad, he lived in Germany during my 30s and 40s, producing photographs, sound installations, and videos.
He started drawing around 2003, and after working to draw with ink and acrylic on a large piece of paper, he started drawing with acrylic on canvas.
Since the start of using oil paints in 2012 for the first time in 20 years, he has rediscovered the beauty of paints. Since returning to 2016, he has held solo exhibitions at Gallery20202 (Tokyo, 2017), Gallery SIACCA (Tokyo, 2017, 18, 19), Yano Jizo Gallery (Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, 2018).
